If youāre booking a cat sitter for the first time, you might be wondering: what actually happens at a meet & greet? At Cat Love Sitting, every new booking includes a free meet & greet ā a friendly visit where I come to your home to meet you and your cat, and we go through everything together.
Why a Meet & Greet Matters
Cats are happiest in their own environment, and every cat has their own quirks and routines. The meet & greet gives me a chance to learn all about your catās needs so I can keep their routine consistent and stress-free while youāre away. Itās also your chance to get to know me, ask questions, and feel confident about leaving your cat and home in safe hands.
What to Expect During the Visit
š A friendly hello to you and your cat
š½ļø Going through food, feeding times, and water bowls
š§¹ Checking litter tray routines and preferred cleaning methods
š± Talking about your catās personality, quirks, and favourite toys
š Sorting out key collection or key safe details
š” Any house notes (rubbish, recycling, plant watering, etc.)
Most visits take around 20ā30 minutes. If your cat is shy, donāt worry ā I always let them come to me at their own pace.
Timing of the Meet & Greet
I usually recommend arranging the visit within 3 weeks of your booking so all the details are fresh in my mind. If youād prefer to book one further in advance, I do offer early visits for a small fee.
After the Visit
Once everything is confirmed, Iāll send you a simple Google Form to record your catās details, along with an invoice so your booking is all set.
